My Dream Goal

Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn this vision of the future into reality. Goals help you choose where you want to go in life. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You’ll also quickly spot the distractions that would otherwise lure you from your course. My goal for this year is to make it in the softball team in Esperanza. I want to achieve this goal because I love to play softball and it will be a good opportunity if I make it in the team in my school.

If I make it in the softball team, it will help me a lot through life. It will look good on my college resume and it will help me find a good job in the future. It will also help me get in better health, because I always eat junk food and I need to get back in shape. Also I could learn how to be a good teammate and help win Esperanza into victory. Another good thing if I make it in the team is that I can leave P.E because I don’t like that class. I will also make new friends and become a better person.

There is going to be a lot of obstacles in accomplishing my goal. For starters, I haven’t been playing softball in a long time, and the tryouts are just around the corner. Also there are going to be a lot of good contenders trying to make it in the team too. So I have to practice a lot if I need to make it in. Another obstacle is if I do make it and my friend doesn’t, then it will be very heartbreaking because she is the one that wanted me to tryout with her. But I will never surrender and will try my hardest to make it in the team.

I will try my hardest to accomplish this short-term goal. I just have to practice a lot everyday until every bone in my body hurts. I will stay strong till the end and never lose my focus on my goal. If I don’t make it in, I will still be proud because I know that I try my hardest and I never surrendered. I will try next year and be well prepared for the obstacle that I will face in the future.
