All carobn life-forms decompose and can form a hydrocarbon, which if, when burned, produces Carbon Dioxide. This CO2 can hold in more of the sun’s enery and thus the earth retains more heat. More heat leads to enviromental insability leads to death of the Earth. Also hydrocabrons that do not combust completely cause Carbon Monoxide to enter the atmosphere (as well as Sulfur Dioxide, and other oxides) Sulfur dioxide causes “acid rain” so that is bad as well. The excess CO in the air can lead to weather pattern changes as well.
