What are the duties of soldiers and how do they help to preserve human rights and peace?(india)?

I am not in India but I’d like to share…
Adopted duties of soliders internationally are:
1. Know the Rules of Engagement
2. Protect the Public where soldier is destined to.
3. Have principle.
4. Loyal and Honest.
5. No mercy (Strict) or Always in Maximum Tolerance
6. Know the environment.
7. Know how to use weapons.
8. Time organize or active.
9. and many more
10. and Generally, to serve the public, coz without public, there are no soldiers…that is the reality…

The duty of soldiers is to impose the will of the government upon people who do not want to have that will imposed upon them. Human rights are preserved when bad guys no longer hack innocents up with machetes (soldiers stop them – the bad guys – from doing such things). Preserving peace is a whole different thing. If you define “peace” as “the absence of war” then the very presence of soldiers is “un-peaceful”. Peace comes from within and cannot be imposed.
