There are a lot of educational-type documentaries on these days. There are a lot of channels to choose from: the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, the Science Channel, the Biography Channel, the Military Channel just to name a few.
Most of them are presented in an interesting way, not dry and boring like from a text book. And you can pick up a lot of interesting facts they don’t present in school.
