Roe v. Wade took place in Dallas and was tried by a novice attorney from Austin by the name of Sarah Weddington. The current President was formerly Governor of Texas. The state food is chili, the bird is the mockingbird, the flower is the bluebonnet. People in Texas are occasionally seen to accessorize themselves with Texas shaped regalia including belt buckles and earrings. Texas leads the nation in the number of death sentences and completed executions. SXSW takes place in Austin. It’s a huge deal in the music industry. Good luck on your project, and be glad you didn’t get Vermont.

The famous battle of Alamo happened there. Go to Wikipedia. com and you can find more answers. Type in Texas in search box.

Texas has had 6 flags fly over it. Hence, the name of the park, Six Flags. That’ll give you something to work on. Try to identify them all and do that for your project.
