Well, in my experience in my 60 years on Earth, history always repeats itself. That is in my life, clothes, music, cars etc. It seems like Wars, hunger, poverty are around always. That would be a pro, knowing that what goes round comes round.
Cons, unless presented in an interesting manner, it can be pretty boring. Better that you are able to travel and see history as it was, very cool.

pros…you get to learn about what happened in the past and things you learn could maybe help prevent SOME things from happening in the future!!
