Remember that a factor of a number is a “part” of that number. In other words, you can divide a number evenly by any of its factors. For example, the factors of 4 are 1,2,4 because you can divide 4 by any of those numbers evenly.

Keeping this in mind, here is the answer to your question:

60 – 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,12,15,20,30,60

32 – 1,2,4,8,16,32

40 – 1,2,4,5,8,10,20,40

35 – 1,5,7,35

If it makes it any easier, it’s always best to start at the small numbers (1,2,etc…) and check if each is a factor. It also helps because once you know the small numbers, you can find many of the larger factors. Simply divide the starting number (the number that you are finding factors of) by that small factor to find the equivalent large factor. For example, I knew 4 was a factor of 60 and when I divided 60 by 4 I found that 15 was also a factor (60/4 = 15).

Some other hints:

1 goes into everything and 2 goes into even numbers. You can also figure out if a number is divisible by three by adding up the digits of the number and seeing if 3 goes into that. If it does then the number is divisible by 3. The same goes for 9.

Oh, and any number ending in 5 is divisible by 5 and any number ending in 0 is divisible by 10.

It just takes patience really.

this is like elementary math…but anyways maybe u r in elementary! but factors of 60 are 1 and 60, 2 and 30, 3 and 20, 4 and 15, 5 and 12…those are just some of them do i have to continue, some factors of 32 are 8 and 4 1 and 32, 40 are 1 and 40, 8 and 5, 20 and 2, some for 35 are 7 and 5, 35 and 1…etc! hope this helps! factors are the numbers that are multiplied together to get a certain number!

Hints: If a number is even, it’s divisible by 2. If the sum of its digits is 3, it’s divisible by 3. If the sum of its digits is 9, it’s divisible by 9. If the number ends in a 5, it’s divisible by 5. If the number ends in a 0, it’s divisible by 5 and 10.

So:

60’s factors: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 60

60 = 2^2 * 3 * 5

32’s factors: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32

32 = 2^5

40’s factors: 1, 2, 4, 10, 20, 40

40 = 2^3 * 5

35’s factors: 1, 5, 7, 35

35 = 5 * 7

Prime factors of 60 are 1 x 2 x 2 x 3 X 5, all factors are: 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,12,15,20,30, and 60

Prime factors of 32 are: 1 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2, all factors are:

1,2,4,8,16, and 32

Prime factors of 40 are: 1 x 2 x 2 X 2 x 5, all factors are: 1,2,4,5,8,10,20, and 40

Prime factors of 35 are: 1 x 5 x 7, all factors are: 1,5,7, and 35
