Agree with uri from helsinki. The equation has no real-valued solutions.

2(-1^2) + 2(-1) + 2

= 2(1) + 2(-1) + 2

= 2 – 2 + 2

= 2

x != -1

Do you realize the elements:

Element 1: 2xSquare

Element 2: 2x

Element 3: 2

Since it your homework, you solve it on your own. But you can get the answer by using the factorize. Or use the b-4ac formula.

Find the x… that sure no problem at all.

2x^2+2x+2=0

divide through by 2

x^2+x+1=0

x^2+x=-1

x(x+1)=-1

x=-1,(x+1)=-1

x=-1,x=-1-1= -2

so x=-1 or -2

You can always use the quadratic formula.

x = [ -2 +/- Root( 4 – 16) ] / 4

= [ -1 +/- i Root(3) ] / 2

i is square root of -1

2x^2+2x+2=0

2(x^2+x+1)=0

2(x+1)(x+1)=0

X= -1

You’re gonna obtain imaginery roots for this equation.

x= [-b+(b^2-4ac)^(1/2)]/(2a) or [-b-(b^2-4ac)^(1/2)]/(2a)

where a,b,c=2
