how did economic, geographic, and social factors encourage the growth of slavery as an important part of economy of the southern colonies between 1607 and 1775?

I think that for economic, when colonists came over they found that they could grow a lot of cotton and farm products for cheap land. So if you have only 1 person to pick, clean, etc. about 300 acres you would probably be tired. Slaves were seen as a cheap way of getting the work done. They were considered highly prized for purchase and the strong ones were higher priced for strength. Slaveowners found that the slaves could survive in the grueling heat of the southern colonies and English people could not take it.
