TI-89 Question…?
This is going to sound stupid, but how do I make my TI-89 divide? I mean actually give me answers…? Whenever I divide, if it’s not a whole number (and it’s usually not), it always gives me a fraction… And I don’t really find that very useful, considering that a lot of times it gives me back the question…
Also, how do I properly add and use games to the calculator? Sitting in class doing nothing gets pretty boring…

I have a TI-84 but I’m guessing the principle is the same. I you use the MATH button, you can ask the calculator to translate the answer into Frac or Dec.
There are some games on the calculator under APPS (applications – on mine its written in purple). Go down the menu until you find the PuzzlePack. There are 4 basic games on the calculator already.
Use the cord that you got w/ your calculator to download more games if you want.

Check out your TI-89 user guide…you know the think book that came with the calculator…. it should explain how to divide, change fractions to decimales etc…
If you’re having trouble dividing with the calculator your instruction should also be able to help you.
You don’t need games….you need to be paying attention in class!
