The temperature range for a week was between 14 F and 77 F. Find the temp range in Celsius. F=9/5C+32?
Favorite Answer
C = (F – 32) * 5 / 9
(This is gotten from basic algebra:
Subtract the 32 from both sides, this makes the 32 dissappear from the right side and give you F – 32 on the Left Side >> F – 32 = (9/5) * C
Then multiply both sides by 5/9. The value on the Right Side becomes C * 1 (and any number times 1 equals itself). On the Lefft side you have (F-32) * (5/9) which now simply equals C.
If you wanted to convert the Range (in F) to Celesius, just take the difference 77-14 = 63
Sub that in for the eqn for
63 = 32 + (9/5)C
subtract the 32 from both sides
31= (9/5)C
multiply by 5/9
31 *5 / 9 = C
C = 17.22
* Begin by subtracting 32 from the Fahrenheit number.
* Divide the answer by 9.
* Then multiply that answer by 5.
Here’s an example: Change 95 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius: 95 minus 32 is 63. Then, 63 divided by 9 is 7. Finally, 7 times 5 is 35 degrees Celsius.
just calculate equal lowest temp in celsius you get it 10
and highest in celsius you get it 25
so the range in celsius is 10c to 25c
