well it depends on what you’re studying, Usually what I do is I take notes from whatever my test is on, and I just rewrite my notes and reread them. And make sure it’s concrete in my head. After i rewrite what I’m studying I usually have someone quiz me. Or have someone make a quiz for me and see what I still need to learn.
hope it helps

As you study, take notes of the important points you need to remember. In effect make an outline of the material. Then study the outline. If you’ve read the material and memorize the outline it will help you to recall the facts you’ll need.

Depending on the subject, make flash cards you can put a hole in and put on a keyring to take along and look at while you wait somewehre, reorganize the info on paper till it makes sense to you, explain the info to someone else. Repeat the steps. And Good Luck on your test.

Getting off the internet and opening up a history textbook and reviewing your notes perhaps.
