summer reading…what is the plot of a book?
ok sooo i forgot a lil bit of school since summer began but dont think im stupid because i am a 93% average student && i am in honors. i read this book and i wanna do an assignment on it && what do u think the plot of a book is? i just wanna make sure i have the right deffinition (change the story make it ur own?) “Write a brief summary about the plot” is wut the paper says….plz help

I had a similar dilemma, so I asked my AP English teacher, and he said that the plot of the book is just a summary of what happened. He isn’t looking for comparisons to fables or famous plays, just in general, what happened and why. Try to be specific. The best thing to do is summarize chapter by chapter, and look at what’s missing or what’s unnecessary. If you don’t have chapters, then do it by every 15-20 pages or so. While you’re looking at your plot, then you can write your paper, in chronological order of course.

The plot simply is the CHANGE/or/BREAKING POINT. Just remmeber where the change occured and what happened that gave a twist to the story.

it’s what the book was about…like….forrest gump was about a really stupid guy who did a lot of great things….robin hood, stole from the rich, gave to the poor, and had a girlfriend. use character names, events, prolly places.
