Story help?
I need to write a short 500 word story that takes place in a trainstation. I just need lots of ideas. Ive thought of a few but i have no idea how to make the story sound interesting. please help?

Have a horror story about someone who lurks in the train station late at night that has a funny twist. Instead of scaring people, he takes luggage and little nick knacks. People can’t see him because he’s invisible to everyone. He is a thing collector.. I don’t know. Make it funny.

How about someone who WORKS in a train station…ticket sales, janitor, coffee shop, etc. Sees the same wonderful person come in every day…but the person never pays attention. Then one day…they either finally meet, or narrator see the person with someone else, or the person just disappears–only to be found in another facet of the narrator’s life (the gym, same apartment building, grocery store, etc.) This could go any direction: thriller/stalker, romance, weird coincidence, drama.

Lost love.
She left something there and he has to go on a quest to find her. he falls in love with her and they get married at the train station. You could even make it a tragedy and the train crashes on the way to the station and she lives in misery ever since. OR his ghost haunts the station pining for the love that never was.
