Someone please help me out with this math work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Do you know the answer to the question, “What is the mass of the earth?” Your challenge in this Thought Project is to devise a strategy for finding the mass of the earth using only the equations and equipment that were available to scientists in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuriesa) Search the internet or a book on the history of science, to learn some of the ways people in the 17th and 18th century tried to compute the mass of the earth.(b)What information did they use to try to compute the mass of the earth?(c) List some possible strategies for finding the mass of the earth.(d) Do you favor a physical experiment or mathematics to address the question? Explain.(e) If you favor an experiment, discuss the equipment involved and the data you will attempt to collect. If, however, you think mathematics is the more efficient approach, what is your starting point?(f)Does the knowledge of these formulas suggest that you should change your original problem solving strategy?(g) Execute your strategy and calculate the mass of the earth.(h) Did your value differ from the known value? What might be some reasons for this difference?(i) Discuss how the problem solving strategy you employed would have been different with the resources of the twenty-first century at your disposal.(j) How does the three-hundred-year difference in time impact each of the two strategies of using a physical experiment and using mathematics? Explain. • The distance from the earth to the sun is , and

• The mass of the sun is ,

1. use Kepler’s Law of Periods to find the period of the earth’s orbit, recorded in seconds:;

2. show how to express your answer in years; and

3. if your answer does not agree with the accepted earth orbital period of 365.25 days, explain the discrepancy.Devise and execute a problem solving strategy that will yield a reasonable physical explanation for how a star is able to resist collapsing under its own gravitational attraction.

ITT tech, TB184 “Problem Solving.”

How exactly would cite someone’s help on here as a reference?

LOL

I’m having some trouble with this assignment as well. So far not been able to locate ANY information regarding the 17th or 18th century thought on the mass of the earth.

Strangely I found some about the 3rd centruy, but that’s not too helpful.
