ok, the Irish Potato famine, also known as An Gorta Mor. In 1845, a fungus affected most of the potatos grown in Ireland. The Irish depended on these potatos, and many people literally starved because of that. Also, much food was being shipped out to England (who ruled Ireland at the time) so the Irish had few resources. He’s the king of France. He built the palace of Versailles. This palaces was a place for official gatherings and the home of many high office holding people and King Louis XIV himself. He ruled in the age of Absolutism and was considered an absolute leader. An absolute leader is someone who have control of his country in every aspect. People admired him very much and followed his fashion trend and w/e he did. He liked to dance ballet and wear those toto’s lol. it’s true. But by the end of his rule, France was out of money because he spent so much.
