slope and intercept help!!!?

Write the equation of the line passing through each of the given points with the indicated slope. Give your results in slope-intercept form, where possible.

(0,5), m=-3/5

Please show me HOW to do this. I need to learn how to do these types of problems. please help

To find the line equation where the slope and one point are known is : (y-Y)=m (x-X), where m is the slop and (X,Y) is the point.

Thus, (y-5)= -3/5 (x-0) ===> y – 5 = -3/5x + 0

y = -3/5 x + 5

y= mx+b

y= -3/5x + y-intercept which is the y in the coordinate.

y= -3/5x + 5

-5 -5

(-5/3) -5=-3/5x(-5/3)

25/3= X

y=(-3/5)x+5

y=mx+b

m is slope

b is the y-intercept

so just plug the numbers in
