a negative message is when you say: don’t cheat!!!
a positive message is when you say: thank you for being honest with your work!!!
they both suggest the same purpose but the positive message is more convincing and i think, may also work as a persuasive kind……

A persuasive message or speech is designed to get your audience to do one of two things 1) To motivate audience into an action 2) To bring them over to your way of thinking, in this is where the positive and negative aspect work in. When you are presenting your way of thinking you present both sides only you present the idea more forcefully and with more background information than with the idea you oppose. They are not necessarily positive or negative as your opinion and another’s opinion. (For example, you are for gun control and your speaking to a group of avid hunters….)
