My own personal opinion is every country should have a “Bill of Rights” However, if the people from Australia aren’t worried about it why should anyone else. It appears to me that the country knows how to ” Just Get Along”
and that is the important thing. You rarely if ever heard any negative talk about Australia. Rarely do you ever hear of the news from around the world making comments like they do about ‘My Country’ The USA. We have more criminals, pedophiles, rapists , murderers drug addicts and drug sellers than we can handle or know what to do with. It seems we are a country with an abundance of sexual predators . Comparisons, you decide.
Our Bill of Rights allows these people to habitually continue to allow such behavior and continue with appeal after appeal after appeal.
All with the ACLU breathing down the backs of the lawyers, police department the entire criminal justice system. All in the name of their Rights! Most Americans believe our country would be better off without the ACLU since they have lost sight of of the real intent of it’s foundation. They are what makes our Bill of Rights ineffectual for many.
Hope my opinion is of some use.
A Bill of Rights? Just words on a piece of paper that mean nothing when a government wants to walk all over it. Words are cheap. It’s the action of the people that say the most.
If a good description of the necessary liberates and guarantees are already in the Australian constitution then it is not necessary to have a bill of rights since they are already there.
The failing is that there is no protection for society built in, and the many lose to the few.
and don’t be GAY, panima!!!
i don’t know – i guess it’s an opinion – if you can’t think of anything… have you tried flipping a coin?
