Divide 70 by 15 to get your answer in wave speed/minute.

15 minutes is 1/4 of an hour. 4 x 70=? miles in an hour

The speed is 70 miles divided by 15 minutes, or 4.7 miles per minute. If you want to express this in miles per hour, multiply by 60, the number of minutes in 1 hour, and you get 282 miles per hour.

it would be:

if it travels 70 miles in 15 minutes

how many miles in 1 minute.

that would be the equation and if you solve it…..

70 miles – 15 minutes

? miles – 1 minute

70 x 1 = 15x

70 =15x

and it would be approximately 5 miles per minute.

im 97.9999 percent sure about my answer. im sorry if its wrong.

If you want miles per hour, multiply the speed by what you would mulitply the time to get 1 hour. In this case, times 4.

The wave is travelling 280 miles per hour.

4×15 mins = 60 mins or 1 hour

4×70=280 miles in one hour.

speed = distance/time

so s = 70/15

= 4.67 miles per minute

(make sure you get the units right!)
