science help (newton’s second law of motion) more questions?

Carlo and Sara push on a desk in the same direction. Carlo pushes with a force of 50N, and Sara pusheswith a force of 40N. Ehat is the total resultantforce acting on the ball?

A car is stuck in the mud. Four adults each push on the back of the car with a force of 200N. What is the total force on the car?

In auto racing, a cruash occurs. A red car hits a blue car from the front with a force of 4000N. A yellow car also hits the blue car from the side with a force of 5000N. What is the total force on the blue car? (Since force is a vector, you must give both the magnitude and direction of the force.)

If Carlo and Sara are pushing on the desk, not the ball. The force on the ball is 0.

4 x 200N = 800N

Take the square root of the sum of the squares. sqr root of (4000^2+5000^2). The direction is simple trig. Tan A = opp/adj

Trick question. The force is the same on any weight.
