Science help.?

I have two questions, if you could help me, that’d be fantastic!

1. Describe a situation where an object has a changing velocity, but a constant speed.

2. Suppose you are riding your bike along a path that is also used by in-line skaters. You pass a skater, and another bike passes you, both are going in the same direction you’re going. You pass a family having a picnic on the grass. Describe your motion from the points of view of the skater, the other biker, and the family.

If you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

1. Velocity has a sign that shows direction, while speed doesn’t. So if it has a changing velocity it means it changed direction and is moving towards the origin when it wasn’t before, or the other way around. The speed is constant though.

2. No idea, haven’t gotten that far yet =)

The second question is about frames of reference. If you are on a moving train, from your point of view you are sitting still and the people outside are moving. At least that is your perception, your “perspective”. So you simply need to imagine teh situation described. Imagine what you would see as you riding the bike first. You assume you are sitting still. then you see those that you pass and those that pass you. No imagine you were one of them. How would they see the same situation.

Good luck
