Real life application of functions. Help, please!?

Narcissa is standing on the 102nd floor of the Empire State building, thinking about mathematics. She realizes that, if she were able to throw a ball from her present poisiton, the height of the ball, in feet, h, at time t seconds could be modeled by the equation:

h= -16t^2+64t+1224

a) How high above the ground is the 102nd floor?

b) What is the greatest height the ball would reach?

c) How long would it take to reach that height?

d) How long would it take the ball to hit the ground?

Can a math buff tell me how I would get these answers? And please explain it in somewhat easy terms, because I’m ridiculously bad at math…
