“X” will represent the dominant allele and “x” represents the resessive allele. Put “Xx” on one side to represent the dad. The mom is homozygous resessive then put “xx” on her side. Therefore there is a 50% the child will have the disease.

The top two squares have “Xx” in them and the bottom two squares have”xx”

50% chance of having the disorder.

Setup a tic tac toe board and put a star in the top left corner. In the top two spaces put the mother and the ones on the left put an allele in each box for the dad then just cross multiply. You’ll get Dd, dd, Dd, dd meaning 50% chance of having the dominant disorder.

It rely if mom is homozygous recessive or homozygous dominant. we could say B=Brown Eyes b=Blue Eyes. First is that if mom is homozygous blue eyes. _ B _ b b _ Bb _ bb b _ bB _ bb 2 heterozygous Brown Eyes 2 Homozygous Blue Eyes
