Psychology Major?

I’m going to be a senior in high school and was thinking of going to college to major in experimental psychology. I wanted to know of any information or websites with information about majoring in this. Do you have to major in general psychology for 4 years and then get a doctorates in experimental psychology? Are there many job openings for research psychology? What will the salary be like? How expensive will it be for college? Thanks if anybody can answer any of the questions or give me information in general about experimental psychology.
