Security contractors make a lot more money nowadays. Inventors of security products also do well. The terrorists would say that their actions bring about change in their favor. Republicans get voted into office by saying they are the only ones tough enough to fight terrorists (even though all major attacks have been since W was in office).

the only “poisitives” of terrorism is that it can be used to obtain goals by using fear as a form of motivation.

however i think there are better ways to go about things.

you will see that religion will use a form of terrorism to gain believers. by threatening people with an eternal life of torture, they are instilling fear to gain more believers.
