Plz, Plz, Hlp me! ….thanks.?

it says: find (a) PQ to the nearest tenth and (b) the coordinates of the midpoint pg line segment PQ…………..then for the actual problem it says P (4, 2) , Q (3, 0)

i dont really know what im suppose to do..i think one part of the answer tho is .. (3.5, -3)

?? thanks for helping me. 🙂

Plot the points on a graph, then draw intercepts to form a right triangle. This adds a third set at 4,0.

Now you have two sides to figure out PQ, which is the hypotnenuse of the triangle.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

1^2 + 2^2 = c^2

1+4 = c^2

c^2= 5, so c is sqrt5, or 2.236 rnd to 10th is 2.2. The mid point would be 1/2 the diffence between the x and y points,

so x=4-3=1, 1/2 diff is .5, so x=3.5.

y=2-0=2, 1/2 diff is 1, so y=1. midpoint set is (3.5,1).

Draw it on a graph, it will make it easier to see.

Hope this was of some help.
