When a job has been filled no one really thinks very much about the job description again until they need to advertise again. Updating job descriptions is sometimes seen as a nuisance sort of task that no one really wants to do.

I would say they leave it at a basic description and then look for keywords when you submit an application. It gives them more choices to pick the best candidate from.

Remember the “Under Seige” movie with Stephen Segal? His memorable line, “Nah, I’m just the cook.” 🙂

Course, on the other hand, maybe the H.R. are too busy partying (refer to Dilbert Rules) to notice that technology has changed and that the company now needs more knowledgeable staff that can do the latest technology.

Today, most organizations have stopped updating job descriptions because of frequent organizational structural changes.

because people might not want to do that certain part in the job example: if you wanted to apply at a movie theater and you wanted to work the concessions and it said that a janitor is needed you wouldn’t apply and if you just said help wanted you are more likely to apply

your welcome also i’m 11 years old haha
