ok inside an atom there is a nucleus and inside it are protons and neutrons.

There are also electrons which orbit the nucleus. The nucleus contains most of the mass of the atom and it is positively charged.

Protons, neutrons and electrons are called subatomic particles.

There are the same number of protons and electrons in an atom.

The atomic number is the number of protons. The mass number is the number of protons plus the number of neutrons.

atoms of the same element contain the same number of protons.

hope i helped 😀

An atom consists of a relatively heavy nucleus, which has protons and neutrons, and relatively light electrons, which orbit around the nucleus. The protons carry a positive electric charge and the electrons carry a negative charge.
