If U={0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} , A={1,3,4,5,7} , B={2,3,4,5,6} and

C={0,2,4,6,8,9} , find

1.) A’UB’

2.) (AUB)’

3.) (AnB)UC

4.) (AUB)nC

5.) A’n(BUC)

6.) (AUB)’nC’

Please show how you got the answer. I want to learn how to this on my own.

i ll try nd make u understand the solution…. nd please follow the solution,

universal set, U={0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9}

from this universal set, diff subsets r formed like,

A={1,3,4,5,7}

here A’ ={0,2,6,8,9} i.e. rest of the elements from U

now similarly,

as B={2,3,4,5,6} so, B’={0,1,7,8,9}

and

C={0,2,4,6,8,9} so, C’={1,3,5,7}

now follow ur answers one by one

first,

A’UB’ i.e. union of A’ and B’ ={0,1,2,6,7,8,9}

second,

complement of AUB i.e. (AUB)’ = (0,8,9}

third,

(AnB)UC={0,2,3,4,5,6,8,9}

fourth

(AUB)nC={2,4,6}

fifth,

A’n(BUC)={0,2,6,8,9}

sixth,

(AUB)’nC’=null or fi wud be answer for this operation
