God, what kind of stupid test is that? How is that supposed to help you? This is why I’m home-schooled now.

But on to your question:

The best thing to do is to have a parent or sibling quiz you on this and drill this into your head so that you can be prepared for the test.

Just find a Physical map of America.

You can study and then take quizzes you can make for yourself like little notecards with the question on front and answers/answers on back.

I really have no idea XD

Don’t freak. There is no way everyone is going to get them all right so there is safety in numbers in your case. If the class is full of dummies, he can’t punish you all. Do the letter thing for the Great Lakes. THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN EVEN NAME ALL THE LAKES IN TEXAS MUCH LESS THE UNITED STATES. You cannot name all the mountains but you can name some major mountain ranges and some famous mountains but you can’t get them all. Rivers? How about the Guadalupe River in central Texas? Do you really think your classmates can get that? Then add that to the rivers in California, Tennesee, North Carolina and Oklahoma?

How are you going to name all the oceans in the USA well, it is NOT the Arctic or the Indian or the one on the bottom.

Just look at the map until you memorize it there is no other way… sorry.. that is how you pass school. Learn it by sight.

The great lakes are H.O.M.E.S

That is Hurom, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior

Salt Lake is the lake in Utah

Mountains are Rockys on the west, Appalachians on the East

Mississippi R goes up along Mississippi

Ohio River breaks off of that and borders along Ohio

(Just try to use logic on them) If it is named for the state, it probably touches it

Hope this Helps

just look for closeups on the US maps online at a search engine. try to split each part of the US, so it’s easier to identify the lakes, mountains, rivers, and oceans. you can start of with the west coast and move on to the east coast – whatever works for you. after that, you can write the lakes, mountains, rivers, and oceans on index cards and try to point it out on the map. good luck.

Try drawing a blank map and put the items on it. Most of them are really easy to spell. count each and when you finish, check to see if you got them all.

Mnemonics tend to work well. Like the one for the great lakes:

HOMES

Huron

Ontario

Michigan

Erie

Superior

I would split up the country into regions like central/east/west or whatever works for you, try to create a mnemonic. Be creative!

look at this and memorize as much as you can, that’s the only way. repetition will help you memorize it, good luck
