order of operations help please?

ok what does this mean:

State the meaning of each expression in part a and in part b simplify the expression

example:

3. 20+(6+1) b. 20+6+1

i know what simplifying is but what does it mean to state the meaning??? and how would i simplify since their are no parenthesis in b??? THANKS SO MUCH

if you have to solve b you work left to right.What it means is to state the meaning is to say something like”Even though there are parthese a will still be the same anwser as b because of the assocative property”

are you following those steps? well u gotta work from left to right in problem b

and if it addition in the problem and no parenthese just addition or like multiplacition work from left to right
