Try doing some research and look at how a forest regrows after a forest fire. What plants are first, how and why are these first starts of new life joined by the next stage and eventually replaced.

Now perhaps look at an urban area like New York City : Try to find who the indiginous peoples were. Who moved in and eventually replaced them. What then occurred. Look at how the city was changed during the most intensive periods of immigration.

You get the idea. You don’t need to use these exact ideas, but maybe this will get your creative gears moving. Have fun with the project. Sounds interesting.
