Need help with essay?
Im writing this essay about ‘how evil situations overshadow good situations’ I’ve come up with the points: -war, -inequality and -drugs but im having difficulty elaborating on them so could someone help me? Also if you have any points on ‘how good situations overshadow evil situations’ id love to hear them. Thanks in advance ^^

Essentially, such an essay deals with human weakness over idealism. You can elaborate on each by giving arguments on how people, due to their own weaknesses, go against principle to commit these sins. War may thus be a crime due to its violent destructiveness, but wars often lead to resources gained for a group (look at the relationship between the Gulf War and oil). You may also want to say that inequality often leads people to these sins in an effort to achieve adequacy.
For your second argument, you can say that there are times when principle does overshadow greed, such as when people rise up against oppressive regimes. Here, a greater chance of gaining more is seen from going against the flow than going with it.
As you can see, a lot of these answers have to do with morality being influenced by practicality. In other words, a person’s choices are dictated by what they can bring. If one can do good and get rich, too, why shouldn’t he? Try using this argument to unite your essay.
