The essay should have an introduction in which you say what your topic is and give a general idea of your approach to it.

Then comes the body, in which you identify your points and develop them. If they are arguments, the strongest argument usually comes either first or last.

Finally, in your conclusion, you sum up what you have said and the main thrust of your argument.
