MLA heading formatting question?

I just finished writing my essay and I need help with writing my heading. Here is the way I did it:

Last Name, First Name

Professor’s Last Name

Subject

06 August 2007 (Date)

Did I do this the right way? I double spaced it also. My question is, do I need to go a little down from the top first page and then write all that out? Is it like an inch or something? And where do I go? I have Microsoft Office Word 2003. Is it on format, tools, edit? Thanks

Just be sure that it’s on the left hand side of the paper. A lot people make the mistake of putting it on the right hand side of it.

Just type it at the top of the page, no extra room is needed.

Like this:

Smith, Jane

Dr. Boogers

English 101

12 July 1948

In Other Words, How I Killed My Mother:

The Miracle of Birth

Start of paper”

UNLESS you have are going to have a cover sheet in which case you center it all and leave about a 1-2 inch gap between title and name information.

MLA is generally with reference to the format of the quotation. i can not think of any professor might ask you to incorporate a pupil selection then pull a “gotcha.” do not difficulty approximately it and placed it under your call
