Favorite Answer

1.6 lbs * $1.30 = $2.08

2.4 lbs * $1.90 = $4.56

Total = $6.64

$20.00 – $6.64 = $13.36

Why is Derrick paying for Bob’s fruit? If Derrick is buying something else, there’s no way to tell what his change should be.

1.60 x 1.3 = 2.08 (mango)

2.40 x 1.90 = 4.56 (papaya)

total cost = $6.64

change from $20 is $13.36

so your friend is right.
