each 45 minutes B will times 2

therefore 1 hour 30 minutes B will times 4

B = (25600/2)/2

= 12800/2

= 6400.

Set out what you know:

Bnow – 256000

d – 45

t – -90 (60+30=1 hour and 30 min)

———————————————-

Fill it in:

-90=25600(2^1/45)

———————————————-

Rearrange:

Bacteria 1.5hrs ago = 25600(2^1/45)+90

———————————————-

Answer:

256091.0155

———————————————-

Reasoning:

There should be more bacteria at Bnow than 1.5hrs ago. Therefore, I think that your equation is not quite right. Maybe check it, or ask the teacher if there is something else to the calculation. Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope this helps ๐Ÿ™‚
