First use the distributive property to multiply withing the brackets, withing the parenthesis

5[2x-2(3x+7)]+2(x-6)

= 5[2x-6x-14)]+2(x-6)

Then you can simply that bracket to

= 5[-4x-14)]+2(x-6)

Now distribute the 5

= -20x+70+2(x-6)

Distribute the 2 to the parenthesis

-20x+70+2x-12

Now simply, combining like terms

-18x+58

You can factor out a -2

-2(9x-29)

Hope this helps you!!

1st multiply everything on the inside so you have

5{2x-6x-14} +2x-12

2nd multiply outside 5{everything in this bracket.}

10x-30x -70+2x-12

3rd add all the X’s 10X+-30X + 2X=-18X

4th add -70+-12=-82

5th you now have -18x -82

6th a negative divide negative= positive so we need the X alone so 18/82= 9/41

ANSWER X= 9/41

I am sorry if I made any mistakes but that is what I think it is if I am not mistaken. 🙂
