If you are needing a x\y table then simply make a T graph.

x y

-2 -4

-1 -1

0 2

1 5

2 8

Now use those as coordinates and graph..

For instance

(-2,-4)

(-1,-1)

(0,2)

(1,5)

(2,8)

Hope that helps.

make a table of x and y.

give values for x

e.g. x= 1

x=2

x=3

etc.

evaluate those values of x into the equation

i.e. y=3(1)+2

y=3(2)+2

y=3(3)+2

etc.

plot those values into the graph and connect them with a straight line…

and you have the graph for the equation y=3x+2

Just substitute numbers for x, solve, create the table and graph.

So, assume x = 1…

y = 3*1+2 = 5

For x = 2,

y = 3*2+2 = 8

Just keep repeating until you have enough values for your table and graph.

You just need to make a table and fill in any number for x.

X Y

_______

-3 | -7

0 | 2

1 | 5

4 | 14

you can use any numbers you want. but you should usually include at least one negative and maybe 0.

something like that. if X=-3

3 times -3 = -9+2 would be -7
