okay for solving for variables.. simply treat them as regular numbers .. so for the first one.. y + 2x = 5.. subtract 2x from both sides of the equation and get y = -2x + 5.. hope that makes sense.. but remember PEMDAS!!!

question #1) y + 2x = 5 / y = -2x + 5

question #2) y – 6x = -1 / y = 6x – 1

question #3) y + 4x = 3 / y = -4x + 3

question #4) 2y + 4x = 8 / y = -2x + 4

question #5)3y – 5x = 9 / y = 5/3x +3

question #6) 4y + 3x =7 / y = -3/4x + 7/4

question #7) 5x + 4y = 4 / y = -5/4x + 1

question #8) 2x + 7y = 4 / y = -2/7x + 4/7

.. the others just do the same thing.. i don’t wanna do all your homework for you but they look simple enough just isolate the variable by either subtracting, adding, multiplying or dividing.. just treat the letters like numbers or variables

But in a few instances it is also a higher thought to paintings handiest with the numerators of the fractions (if they have got the identical denominator). Also, recollect that after dividing fractions you’re truthfully multiplying the fraction via the reciprocal of the opposite one. Example: two/nine divided via five/eight ==> two/nine / (five/eight) divided (/) via five/eight ==> occasions (x) eight/five (reciprocal of five/eight) two/nine / (five/eight) = two/nine x eight/five = (two x eight) / (nine x five) = sixteen / forty five NOTE: If the fraction may also be simplified, do it. In this situation sixteen and forty five are not able to be simplified however they may be able to be provided as a decimal (sixteen/forty five = zero.35). Hope this helped and well good fortune! 🙂
