Math Homework Help?

My class just had a substitute teacher, who really didn’t explain to us students too well, and I wondering if I could get some help for these questions:

Determine whether the graph of each equation is symmetric with respect to the origin, the x-axis, the y-axis, the line y = x, or the line y = -x

1. xy = -12

2. y = +/- (square root)x =6(/square root)

3. y(squared) = x(squared)/9 – 16

Find the inverse of each function. Sketch the function and its inverse. Is the inverse a function? Write yes or no.

1. y = 4x(squared) – 1

2. y = 4(x = 1)[squared] – 2

Find the coordinates of the point(s) at which the line tangent to the graph of f(x) = x(squared) – 1 has slope -2.

Determine whether each graph has infinite discontinuity, jump discontinuity, or point discontinuity, or is continuous.

1. y = 2/3x(squared)

2. y = 2x(squared) – 4x + 1

It’s a lot, but even a tiny bit of help is highly appreciated, and one last thing can anyone help me with Rational Functions and Asymptotes?

-Thank You
