subtract 12 from both sides

7x+12=26

-12 -12

7x =14 then divide both sides by 7

/7 /7

(your answer sgould end up to be x = 2)

Algebra in 8th grade is a really fun class, believe me the courses get tougher as the years go on so this is prolly the last fun math class you’ll have. Stick with it and give it your best.

First, you move the 12 to the other side of the equation (next to the 26). Keep in mind that when you do that, the signs change, and becomes their opposite (since the 12 is positive/being added, it becomes negative/getting subtracted when you switch it over to the other side, making it 26-12 insteach of 26+12). This is what you should get: 7x=26-12 Now, 26-12 is 14, so ultimately it would be: 7x=14 To get to the x only, you move over the 7 (which is being multiplied in it’s original position, but when it’s moved, it changes to division). x=14/7 And you solve that (14/7=2), so: x=2 Hope this helped~

Alright once you get the hang of this you can do it in your sleep. Think of it as you want to get x by itself. Now what do you have to do that?

7x+12=26

Well first you want to subtract 12 from both sides.

7x+12=26

-12 -12

7x=14

Then you want to divide the 7 from both sides.

7x=14

7 7

And that leaves you with x=2 and that will be your final answer. I hope that helps :]

Good luck with you math. Let me know if you need any further help!

Yes 2 is correct. because, if you subtrat 12 from 26 you get 14 and 14 divided by 7 equals 2.

Minus 12 from both sides of the equation then divide both sides by 7 and you will wind up with the value of X

ok, pretty much what you do is subtract 12 from 26 then you go back to multipcation part and x7=14 figure out x which is 2 by the way and there ur answer!!

7x+12=26

1.subract 12 from both sides

7x=14

2. Divide both sides by 7

7x+12=26

7x=26-12

7x=14

x=14/7

x= 2

or you can do it like this:

7x+12=26

7x+12-12= 26-12

7x=14

x=14/7

x=2

the first one is a more complicated way of doing it. and the second one is about linear equations or something like that. good luck =]
