Math help (well its not like homework help its just a need help of this and i need it fast)?

want to know how you get this …the answer is :52.

Selina sees some spaces where parallelograms will fit. She plots one with a base of 9 feet and a height of 6 feet. What is the area.

Ok I corrected it and the answer is: 52 but I don’t understand how you get it. Please help me.ASAP

area is length x width

(9 x 6 ) = 54

sorry not 52

Sorry, I’m not getting that answer. The area of a parallelogram is the same as that of a rectangle: base x height. And it makes logical sense that it would be that way: All a parallelogram really is, if you break it down into its component shapes, is a rectangle in the middle with a triangle on either end (try putting vertical lines down through the obtuse angles). The triangles fit together so that if you were to put them together, you’d have another little rectangle to put together with the middle one to make one big rectangle. So it would seem to me that the answer there should be 54, not 52.

I think u got the answer wrong.It’s 54 not 52.Area of a parallelogram is base multiplied by the height.So just multiply 9 by 6 which is 54 square feet.
