math help! this problem is weird!!?

so the question is lx+2l-x≥0

i try to put the x to the other side so its x+2≥x

If i try to put the x together i get 0≥2

help!!

ok, whenever you have the absolute value sign, you have two representations of the content in the sign

In this case:

x + 2, and the opposite, -x – 2

So you have (and keep in mind I don’t have the less than or equal to/greater than or equal to signs):

x + 2 – x > 0

2 > 0

and

-x – 2 – x > 0

-2x – 2 > 0

-2x > 2

x < - 1 So there's only one solution for x
