xSquared+ySquared-5x+4y-13=0
I need to split it into two functions.
So, the question is: … Begin by writing the circle as the union of two functions. Identify the functions that represent the top half and the bottom half of the circle.
Oh, and please tell me how you got it. Don’t just give me the answer.
Thanks. ♥BeautiifuLChick♥

y^2 + 4y = -x^2 + 5x + 13
Then do the square and complete it
(y+2)^2 = -x^2 + 5x + 13 +4 = -x^2 + 5x + 17
square root both sides. This is where the two functions come in, one plus and one minus
y + 2 = +sqrt(-x^2 + 5x + 17) and
y + 2 = -sqrt(-x^2 + 5x + 17)
Now add -2 to both sides of each to get your two functions.
xsquared+ysquared-5x+4y-13=0
collect like teams. xsq.-5x+ysq+4y-13
x(x-5)+y(y+4 )-13=0 subtract the whole no- 13 in bot sides.
x(x-5)+y(y+ 4)- 13+13=0-13,
x+y= -13 ,x-5= -13, y+4= -13
finish it up , ican’t spoon feed you.
