Okay..

-5(c + d) – 4d + 5c – d

Firstly, distribute the -5.

-5c – 5d – 4d + 5c – d

Now, add all like terms.

-10d

There is no c anymore because -5c and 5c cancel each other out.

You should know how to do the rest based on what I told you.

You should multiply through. I’ll do the first one as a sample:

-5(c+d)-4d+5c-d

Multiply the 5 through in this case:

-5c-5d-4d+5c-d

Then, group like terms to add:

-5c+5c-5d-4d-d

(-5c+5c)+(-5d-4d-d)

0+-10d

-10d
