Suppose you own a card shop. You buy one line of cards at a rate of 4 cards for $5. You plan to sell the cards at a rate of 3 cards for $5. How many cards must you sell in order to ake a profit of $100

The first answer is close, but not exact.
You buy the cards at $1¼ each and sell them for
$1 2/3 each, making a profit of 5/12 of a dollar
per card. To make a profit of $100 you need to sell
100/(5/12) or 100*12/5 = 1200/5 = 240 cards.
