have you ever rapided before? no? well would you like to rapid today? no? then rapid must not be a verb. in fact rapid is an adjective and with a little help from -ly can become an adverb. Rapid’s friend slow works the same way.

no, not a verb, much less a strong verb. It is either a noun, (the rapids are rising) or an adjective about speed.

I dont think that Rapid is a verb, I think it is more of a descriptive word as in ‘they made a rapid decent’ and ‘they decended rapidly’. English isn’t my hottest subject but a verb has tenses and I don’t think Rapid has any.

Rapid is either an adjective or a noun (e.g. the rapids of the river).
