Either is correct.

You can say that one soap is more mild than the other, or one is milder than the other.

I read the article….unfortunately, evolution theory is going to lead a lot of parents to find other solutions like this which may have incorrect facts as well. How qualified is the tour guide to teach creationism versus evolution? Some of the evidences that were quoted in the article are questionable even from a creationist standpoint but I can understand the reasoning behind their efforts. In my view, real science does support creation. We need an impartial referee and open-minded critical review of any theories… if that’s possible.

If it is incorrect to say “more mild”, then I see no reason to admit “more” with ANY adjective. However, “milder” avoids the awkward alliteration and is preferable for that reason alone.
